Life Lately: Week 17 (Part 1!)

This is what the past week looked like.

The downtown park is completely flooded.

Freshly groomed.

Random combo, but a seriously delicious dinner: chicken Caesar salad with sweet potatoes and cottage cheese.

I loved walking in to find a sweet surprise waiting on my desk.

All day meeting, but free lunch was a nice perk.

Worn out after our four-mile walk.

Kicked off our mom and daughter trip with lunch at Boatwerks.

10/10 recommend the whitefish dip.

My mom heard the tulips are usually in bloom the week prior to The Tulip Festival so we decided to check it out.

Bonus points for fewer crowds and cheaper hotel stays.

We strolled around Window on the Waterfront and admired all the tulips.

We walked over to Centennial Park for more tulip time.

We came, we saw, we tulipped.

These hot pink tulips were my favorite.

Tulips are better than one.

Wine tasting at Warner Vineyards.

Stop and smell the tulips.

Dinner at Butch's was just as good as I remembered.

Still thinking about these brussels. 

Meanwhile Manny was waiting for me to come home.

We headed to Tunnel Park for a sunset beach walk (and it was just as good as I remember).

Big Red.

It was an 80 degree day - people laying out on the beach, swimming, playing yard games - and for a moment, I felt transported straight into summer. 

I’m feeling shore-ly blessed by this sunset lake view.

Lake it or not, this sunset is perfect.
