Life Lately: Week 45

This is what the past week looked like.

With the time change I'm up at 5am without an alarm clock!

I started my new role this week, Happy November!

November rain.

Headed into the office to meet my new team.

I still work at the same company, but I work in a new building now (just a block away from HQ).

My new desk is awesome!

I jokingly refer to it as my corner office...

Because this is the view to the left of my desk.

Insert all the heart eyes for that natural light.

I picked up Mexican food on my way home to celebrate a fantastic first day in the office.

Obsessed with my new water bottle.

Repurposed my leftovers into tacos.

Call with my besties is always good for the soul.

My new role is actually kind of a career change (eek!).

I have been a buyer for 17 years and my new role is in project management and I'm loving it.

Four days into being a project manager and I got to celebrate PM day with my new team.

Good timing, huh? :)

Did you catch the bathroom remodel update?

I grabbed this piece of art for the bathroom and it just makes me so happy.

G picked up sushi to celebrate a successful first week in my new role.

The paws crossed though.

Treated myself to a coffee after a doctor's appointment.

In all the excitement of my new role I missed Advent Calendar Day at Aldi.

I was able to snag this tea calendar over the weekend though.

My new boss gave me a bag of Kellanova goodies and SOMEBODY got into that bag and ate some of the food.

We went to my parents' house and celebrated my first week in my new role.

G picked this bottle of wine because it's from South Africa and the label is cute, but it wasn't a favorite (though I enjoyed it).

Coffee snuggles.

G made our favorite pasta and it hit the spot on a cool, rainy, lazy Sunday afternoon.

I wanted to switch up our card playing so we tried Monopoly Deal and we like it!

It took a minute to catch on, but it's fun (except when G steals a set of properties from me).

I finished this book in the hot tub and it was really cute.

Fave quotes:

"I don't want to miss our first kiss, our first fight, our first anything. And I'll take the heartache and the horror and the losses too, the fear of not knowing how it will all come to be, because that is life, in all its glorious, messy Technicolor. And I know I am so lucky to be here, and that every breath I take is the good part."

"...Unexpected things are going to happen and change is inevitable. The sooner you accept that, the better equipped you'll be to roll with things when they crop up... All the things that scared me at twenty-six ended up making my life a thousand times better."

"'Success is the ability to go from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.' If you believe in yourself, and then just keep going, and every time you get knocked flat on your back, get up, dust yourself down, and try again. If you want something that badly, one day you will get it."

"Those worries that seem so enormous right now, they'll be footnotes soon - then not even that. Relax. You're doing great. And there's so much joy ahead of you."

"You'll never regret a vacation, a night out, a night in, or buying the flowers."

November skies.

Comfy cozy are we.

A gem from James Clear's newsletter.

Wise words from my devotional.

This resonated with me as I get out of my comfort zone and try something new at work.

Practice gratitude.

Good reminder.

Powerful.

It's funny because it's true.

We are officially in cozy season.

Yep!

Ha!

Thank goodness.

I'm trying to get better at this.
