On June 21st we closed on our new home!!!
After we finished signing our life away (117 pages later thanks to buying through a relocation company!) we went out to dinner to celebrate. We had a champagne toast.
This restaurant is quickly becoming my new favorite and I know we will be back. It was fancy and fun. The drinks were great and cheap thanks to happy hour.
We shared a few appetizers before heading back to the house to clean and then drove back to our old house to finalize everything to move the next day.
Since we gave almost all of our furniture away and majorly purged we figured we didn't need too much help moving. My parents graciously offered to help and they were rock stars. We worked hard and got moved out of the old house in about two hours. We cleaned, handed over the keys and drove to the new house and enjoyed a beer and snacks before unloading. Unloading went a lot quicker and we were all exhausted. But it was done, woohoo!
Manny turned four years old the day we closed on the house! Happy birthday, pup! We bought you a house.... and this stuffed ice cream cone! ;) If you're curious, we boarded Manny while we moved and picked him up the next day. We gave him a tour of the house, took him out often and keep him in his kennel for now as he gets used to the house. I kept his usual schedule with walks and feeding. He has adjusted super well!
Check it out, I got my water view! Ha! Even if it is my neighbor's pool, I'll take it!
Can we talk about how much I love my jetted tub? I have been taking a bath almost every night and sleep like a baby. I usually read an hour before bed and now I just read in the tub. Perfection!
Sunrises in the morning are so beautiful. I didn't think I would love having no one across from us but it's so nice and private!
And sunsets on the back deck. It's just amazing. I love our new house so much!
Last week we walked downtown for the first time! It was a short ten minute walk. We explored the farmer's market which was adorable. I'm so obsessed with our new town.
Then we enjoyed happy hour. Half off appetizers and 10% off wine flights, yes please!!
We had new furniture delivered last week and we bought Manny a dog bed on Groupon to help keep him off the furniture. It has worked like a charm and made the transition so easy. He loves his new bed!
I'm obsessed with the new hiking trails by our house. Check out this awesome bridge over the river.
Our sub is fun to walk in as well. We have sidewalks! That is a nice treat. Everyone in our subdivision is so friendly! We have a few neighbors and everyone has been so welcoming and wonderful.

So pretty! Where is your new city? (email so creepers don't see ;)) will the lot across from you stay empty? That's such a gorgeous view. And yay for new furniture and a dedicated doggy area :)
