It's about a month overdue, but I'm finally getting around to telling you about our super fun weekend getaway to Grand Haven. It feels like a lifetime ago because since the trip we had over 25 house showings, looked at over 10 houses and made 3 offers. Our house sold, but we are still looking for a house to call a home. The market is insane. So yeah. Life has been crazy and stressful, but we are trusting God and His timing. Now on to the trip recap!
We left right after work and checked into our bed and breakfast. We stayed at the Harbor House Inn and it was wonderful. Views of the water, jetted tub, walking distance to everything and friendly staff. After we settled into our room we walked across the street to Snug Harbor for dinner and drinks. They have the BEST cosmo!
We shared the salmon bruschetta and black bean cakes and both were delicious.
We walked around the water after dinner and enjoyed a beautiful sunset.
Saturday morning we ate breakfast on the screened in porch of our bed and breakfast. The weather was so perfect - 60s and sunny all weekend long.
We grabbed Starbucks and headed for a long walk on the beach.
Such a gorgeous day!
We ate a late lunch at Bil-Mar and just soaked up the gorgeous views of the water.
I had this creamy, cheesy mac and cheese that was so good.
G had the caramelized onion and goat cheese bruschetta. Yum!

The obligatory picture with the palm tree outside the restaurant.
There is just something about late afternoon sunshine on the water. It was so pretty so we went for a nice after lunch stroll.
We headed back to our bed and breakfast for naps, reading and relaxation.
We walked over to The Kirby House for drinks. It was a fun little place. Afterwards we explored downtown and window shopped.
We walked over to the famous Pronto Pups for dinner. There is always a line, but luckily the line wasn't too bad. It helped having two cute puppies in line ahead of us.
My love for corn dogs runs deep.
Dinner with a view! Another gorgeous sunset.
We walked back to the bed and breakfast and enjoyed a night cap on the screened in porch. It was quite entertaining listening to all the people walking by and most of them seemed quite intoxicated.
Sunday morning we slept in and walked downtown for coffee at The Baker's Wife. We wondered around downtown and explored the cute shops. We met a few puppies at Must Love Dogs Boutique and also bought Manny an antler.
We walked over to Grand Armory Brewing to try a few beers. It's an eclectic place with really good beer. I'm obsessed with the Nutter Your Business Peanut Butter Stout.
We headed to see the lake one last time. There were a few kite surfers and they were good. They did flips and jumps and we enjoyed watching them for a while.
We stopped in Grand Rapids at SpeakEZ, one of our favorite restaurants. We shared the Charred Tomato and Bacon Goat Cheese Dip and it was just as good as I remember.
We also shared the mac and cheese and it was insane. Who knew pretzels would be so good in it?!
We ended a wonderful weekend away with Rowster Coffee. Our friend's brother owns it so we had to check it out. Delicious and I highly recommend it!

That Mac and cheese looks delicious, maybe I'll try a pretzel topping next time I make it! Altho I'm sure it won't be the same. Glad you had a good time. You'll need another vacation after your house hunting is over! :)
Hey, Stranger!! I have seriously missed you and your precious posts! It's been a while, but you look amazing and I am loving catching up and seeing how you are doing! XOXO
