1. I made this Chicken Enchilada Pasta and it was incredible. And it made so much that we ate it Friday night, Saturday afternoon, Sunday evening, and Monday. I love that!
2. Garth and I had an awesome anniversary celebration. Thank you for all your sweet comments! We enjoyed steak and red wine at one of my favorite restaurants, discussed our goals and desires for the year ahead, and watched our wedding video. Garth gave me the sweetest card that made me cry. He knows how much I adore cards and this one was so me.
3. I had a girls night with fun friends and we watched The Vow which I was very disappointed in. **Spoiler Alert** It was way too sad for my taste and I disliked the lack of effort Rachel McAdams put in to the marriage. Overall I felt the movie did not take marriage as seriously as it should have. Thanks, I'm stepping off my soap box now.
4. Garth ran 5 miles on Saturday without stopping. I am so proud of him! I know looking back this will make me laugh because he will be running 18 miles on Saturdays, but baby steps, ya know?
5. Garth and I have started seriously researching puppies. I cannot tell you how many "What dog is right for you?" quizzes I have completed. I think we both came to a point that we are really ready for a pup. Crazyness! It only took us four years, sheesh. I must be an overplanner or something.
6. I feel like I may have baby fever due to the fact that I have a name I am currently obsessed with. Dierks. I love this name and once I heard it I instantly pictured a little boy running around our house. Our little Dierks. Laughing and playing. Our little country boy, Dierks. And then the dream came crumbling down with Garth saying: "It sounds like Dirt. I don't like it." How dare he speak of our future child that way.
7. I do realize the above confession makes me sound a little bit crazy. Please tell me I'm not alone in these thoughts.
8. I had no intention of watching, but I tuned in to the entire Whitney Houston funeral. I still cannot believe she is gone. I wanted to be her when I was growing up. I would belt out her songs in my childhood room with my hair brush as the microphone. I had her tapes. Her CD was the first I ever owned. In college, whenever my roommates and I were stressed we would blast "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" and get on our desk chairs and dance off the stress.

We have been talking dogs, too. I've been asking friends about the kinds of breeds they have. We're thinking either lab or golden retriever. We'd like to have a dog that's going to stick around for several years and a big dog at that! :)
Maybe you should get a puppy and name it dierks!!
I laughed at Garth's comment on your future son's name! haha, back to the drawing board I guess! Glad you guys had such a nice anniversary. Can't believe it's been 4 years already!
Ok, I think I have posted more than once about my puggle, max. If you can get past the puppy stage (which might not be so bad if you are a patient person..which I'm not..lol) then they are wonderful dogs! Here is a site with info on the breed itself. The temperament section is SO true! :) Anyways..just thought I would share. I think you will love having a dog! I know we do. Love the name dierks by the way...sorry Garth didn't. :( LG probably wouldn't either.
yea, blonde moment..here is the site. LOL! http://www.puggle.org/puggle-breed-info
I watched the whole Whitney funeral as well and cried my eyes out. When they took her casket out at the end and "I Will Always Love You" was playing, I lost it and was a nasty crying mess!
Awe, that's a cute name! That pasta sounds amazin!
