Life Lately: Week 46

This is what the past week looked like.

Swans swimming.

My sweet boy.

Fun socks from work.

I laid down to do yoga and Manny stands over me like "I own you now."

This book was a page turner, but I didn't love the ending.

Can you see my head imprint on the carpet?

I was doing yoga and M laid down right next to me, sooooo cuuute.

Afternoon meeting means free lunch.

Decorated my cubicle.

Cute, right?

Another in office day means lunch with my procurement friends.

He brings me coffee, swoooooon.

Sweater weather.

One of my besties was in town so we went for a long walk and solved all of life's problems.

We walked over 4 miles!

Met up with an old friend for a yummy lunch.

Tried the cherry limeade Poppi and I am a fan.

YUM!

Snug as a bug.

I don't usually do Instagram trends, but this one was a fun walk down memory lane.

G and I had a movie night and watched Inside Out 2 and I loved it so much.

As someone who struggles with anxiety this movie hit me hard and served as a good reminder to not let anxiety take the driver's seat because anxiety does not define me.

This was a fun read and now I'm graving gnocchi and scallops.

Fave quotes:

"To me soup may be the greatest culinary invention. It can be made with two ingredients or two hundred twenty-two ingredients. It can be served hot or cold. It can be cooked fast or slow. It can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It can be vegetarian, vegan, paleo, pescatarian, or carnivorian. It can be simple or complex. It comforts, it soothes, it refreshes, and it restores. Soup is life in a pot."

"Home-cooked food strengthens our bonds when we are together, keeps us connected when we are apart, and sustains the memory of us when we have passed away."

"Sharing food is one of the purest human acts."

"Pasta with butter and cheese laughs in the face of our complex lives."

"I guess sometimes you must be made extremely weak to find a strength you never knew you had."

"The hardest thing about aging is how quickly it happens and how slowly it occurs."

"Enjoy life because 'tomorrow is an illusion!'"

"Hope is hard to find, but it can often be found at the table. And tables are easy to build."

Salad and brats with sauerkraut for Sunday Supper.

The sun finally came out, hallelujah!

New fave sparkling water (and pairs well with my sleepy time mocktail with Calm and cherry juice).

Goof.

Sunday night we watched Twisters and it was really good.

Manny wasn't into it though, ha!

Love this.

So proud of our Lions.

Beautiful prayer.

Hahaha.
