Life Lately: Week 20

This is what the past week looked like.

Mani/pedi with a sweet friend.

Let the good times roll.

Cheers to vacay!

J. Alexander's is becoming a tradition on our way to the airport.

I'm not sure if the tradition will continue because they got rid of my favorite meal. Seriously, their club is my fave! Sad news for me.

Luckily, they had enough ingredients to make it and it was EVERYTHING.

We were all smiles at the airport about to fly to Boston for Kate's wedding.

Insert I Think I'll Go To Boston by Augustana on repeat in my head the entire flight.

We landed, picked up our rental car and G dropped me off at Turner's Seafood for the bridal luncheon.

Sangria? Don't mind if I do!

The Salmon Teriyaki was magical.

We walked back to the hotel and I just soaked in all the cool architecture Salem has to offer.

Cheers to the wedding weekend!

Rehearsal dinner ready!

The wedding ceremony was at The House of the Seven Gables and it couldn't have been more beautiful.

Those views though.

This town is rich with history and I just soaked it all up.

The rehearsal dinner was at Ledger which used to be a bank.

The happy couple!

This strawberry salad was one of the best salads of my life.

All the food was incredible.

It was just such a fun time with lots of laughing and talking. Kate married into such a great family and it was so fun to get to know them.

The maids met up to get our hair and make up done with mimosas.

The wedding was pure magic.

Kate was a stunning bride and her wedding was just absolutely perfection.

I love love!

My love.

We ate a lot of good food in Salem, but the appetizers at the wedding stole the entire show.

Tuna tartare. Bruschetta. Caprese salad. Steak and pesto bites.

Mint to be.

I love my friends.

The newlyweds!

Hi up there!

I danced my face off for three straight hours and it was amazing.

The next morning we grabbed coffee and sat by the water.

We stayed at the Hawthorne Hotel (highly recc!) which was named after Nathaniel Hawthorne.

Fun fact: Nathaniel Hawthorne wrote The Scarlet Letter and The house of the Seven Gables.

Witch city.

Some of the TV series Bewitched was filmed at our hotel.

Spring in Salem.

Peace, Love and Waffles.

We ate at Ugly Mug Diner and the food was incredible.

Come for the smells, stay for the spells.

Put the top down on the Jeep and we were off on our next adventure.

See ya later, Boston!

Off to Cape Cod!

We rented one of the coolest VRBOs we have ever stayed in.

The Treehouse was built on property once owned by artist Charles Hawthorne. Charles and his wife were accomplished artists and they purchased the property in 1905.

Charles is credited with being one of the driving forces responsible for the transformation of Provincetown into an artists' colony in the 20th century.

The studio we stayed in was their art studio.

Everything was immaculate. The little touches everywhere just made us feel so special and well cared for.

This bed was so comfortable.

We got early check in and a lovely bottle of wine (and another in the fridge!).

We poured some wine and unpacked.

We walked to Fanizzi's for dinner and drinks with a view.

This prickly pear martini was my favorite cocktail of the entire trip.

My first of many delicious bowls of clam chowder.

SO. GOOD.

I had the Cucumber Dill Salmon with Brussels Sprouts.

OMG. Amaze!

Coffee tastes better on vacation.

Smiling, happy people.

We brunched at Yolqueria.

I had a yummy breakfast sandwich, but the tater tots stole the stole.

They were so crisp, crunchy and so flavorful.

It was fun walking around and exploring the town.

Checking out the cute shops.

The houses were adorable.

The iconic Lobster Pot.

Being touristy.

The New England charm.

Soaking up that salty air.
